How to reach Rumsu village, Himachal?
- Take a bus from New Delhi/Chandigarh for Manali and get down at Bhunter[10 kms before Kullu]. Sometimes direct buses also run for Kasol from Delhi.
- From Bhunter, transport options like Sumo, Taxi and Public Buses are available for Kasol [38 kms].
- Once at Kasol, follow google map for Kailashrath Treks Base Camp Facility. It's 5 minutes from Kasol Bridge.
Things to Carry
- Trekking shoes : Carry water proof trekking shoes with good grip and ankle support. Do not carry sports shoes.
- Three layers of warm clothes : Carry two or three-layer jackets, fleece jackets and a padded jacket.
- Two/Three trek pants : Carry light cotton trek pants. Denim/jeans and shorts are not suitable for trekking.
- Three t-shirts (collared/dri-fit) : Full sleeved t-shirts that prevent sun burns on the neck and arms. Carry one or two dri-fit t-shirts.
- Thermals : Carry thermals (top and bottom).
- Sunglasses : Sunglasses are mandatory. There will be lot of snow on the trek and can cause snow blindness.
- Cap : At high altitude, the sun is extra harsh so carry a cap to protect yourself.
- Water proof hand gloves : Carry water proof gloves and avoid woollen gloves as they will get wet if you touch snow.
- Socks (3-4 pairs) and a pair of woollen socks : Apart from two sports socks, you can take a pair of woollen socks for the night.
- Headlamp/LED torch : Mandatory
- Raincoat/Ponchos : At high altitudes, snowfall and rain are quite common and it’s mandatory to carry a poncho so that you don’t get wet. The trek will continue as planned even during rainfall.
- Lunch box and water bottle : Every participant should have their personal lunch box and a water bottle [insulated type].

Itinerary
Participants should report at Kailashrath Treks Kasol Base Camp by 10 AM. Once all the participants have reported at base camp they will undergo a registration procedure [all the participants will be requested to verify their Medical certificate and ID proof]. Post lunch acclimatization walk to Chalal village. In the evening, a brief session will be conducted regarding the route with few important tips. Overnight stay at Kasol base camp.

- ✔️ Medical Certificate should be signed by a registered MBBS doctor and should have the seal of the doctor.
- ✔️ Original and photocopy of Aadhar card required. In case of Foreign Nationals Passport and Visa would be required.
- ✔️ NOC form with participant signature.

Who can participate ?
Anyone who is above 12 years of age with a good physical strength and stamina can participate in the event. Participants should not have any medical issues like Hypertension, Asthma, Diabetes or breathing problems.
Participants should prepare themselves before participating in the trek such that they are able to jog/brisk walk 5 kms in 40 minutes. Participants with a BMI of 30 and above need to get it below 30 before joining the trek.
Preparation :
Strong physical fitness is a must for any Himalayan Treks. Whenever one is undertaking activities like High Altitude Trekking, make sure that you are preparing yourself for the trek in terms of Aerobic fitness, muscle strength and breathing rhythm.
