Bhrigu Lake is located at an elevation of around 4,300 metres (14,100 ft) in Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh, India.It is located to the east of the Rohtang Pass and is around 14 kilometres from Gulaba village. The lake can be reached by trek from Gulaba village. The lake is named after Maharishi Bhrigu, one of the seven great sages (Saptarshis).

Day 1

Departure from Delhi by 5 PM for Manali

Participants have to board their bus from R K Ashram Marg, New Delhi at 5:00 pm. Make sure your train/flight arrives in Delhi before 2:00 pm so there is enough buffer time to board your bus. Meals are not covered during bus travel.
Day 2

Reporting at Rumsu base camp and Acclimatization walk.

All the participants will report at Rumsu base camp by 8 AM and will undergo registration process. Freshening up and breakfast will happen at the base camp. Post breakfast we will go for an acclimatization walk. Lunch at 1 PM. Post lunch orientation. Orientation will cover all the general instructions that could be helpful for the trek like backpacking, marching technique and medical awareness. Post snacks we will have an ice breaking session.Overnight stay at Rumsu base camp.
Day 3

Drive to Gulaba and trek to Rohlikohli

After morning breakfast we will start with a beautiful jeep ride to Gulaba. The trek commences  from Gulaba towards Rohlikohli camp site. The 5 to 6 hours ascend till Rohlikohli is moderate. There are two streams on the route towards the camp site (Chor Nallah and Kohli Nallah). Rohli Kohli is a beautiful camp site and offers amazing views of Solang Valley. Overnight camp at Rohlikohli.
Day 4

Trek to Bhrigu Lake

Trek commences early in the morning by 7 am after breakfast, for Bhrigu Lake. It takes around 4 hours to reach to Bhrigu Lake. Packed lunch will be done at Bhrigu Lake. Care should be taken that no littering happens over here.  As per the myths, Rishi Bhrigu meditated here and used to take bath in the holy water. We will then start for the descend to Rohlikohli camp site. Overnight stay in tents at Rohlikohli camp site.
Day 5

Descend to Gulaba and Departure from Manali

We will start with descend this morning for Gulaba. The descend is easy and takes around 3-4 hours. Departure will be done from Manali bus stand at 5 PM for New Delhi.
Day 6

Arrival at Delhi by 8 AM

A form page will appear where one needs to fill in all the personal details of the person on whose name the booking is being done. Select the payment method (credit card/debit card/net banking) and make the payment.
50% advance you have to pay while the time of booking and rest 50% anytime before arriving at base camp.
If for any reason one wishes to cancel his/her trek, an email intimation needs to be sent to kailashrathtreks@gmail.com Cancellation requests will not be taken over a phone call. However, one can phone to check whether the cancellation has been processed.
The cancellation charges are as under:
·        Cancellation before 10 days – Rs 2000 + ( Bus cancellation charges)
·        Cancellation within 10 days – NO REFUND

What should I wear during trek ?
Full sleeves quick dry t-shirts and full trousers are recommended during the trek. A cap, sunglass and water proof jackets are optional as par the weather.

What kind temperature we will experience ?
During the daytime temperature is within 15 to 20 degree Celsius while in night it drops to 0 to -5 degree Celsius.

How is the food ?
Kailashrath offers a healthy and nutritious vegetarian diet which is recommended for high altitude treks. Jain food will also be available. Breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner is included in the package.

What kind of tents we will get to stay ?
Participants will get either dome tent or alpine tent on triple sharing basis.

Are there separate tents for boys and girls ?
Yes, there are separate tents for boys and girls.

What about charging facility during the trek ?
During the trek there won’t be any charging facility available. Participants can charge their electronic only at the base camp.

Do I need to bring any trekking gear along with ?
Gears like tents, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, plate, mug will be provided at the base camp to all the participants. Gears like all personal clothing and trekking shoes have to be brought by participants.

What do i need to carry during the trek ?
Check “Things to Carry” list.

Is rucksack compulsory ?
Yes, rucksack is compulsory.

Can extra luggage be deposited at base camp ?
Yes, The entire extra luggage (which is not required for the trek) can be deposited at the base camp.

Is it required to bring any ID proof for the trek ?
Yes, ID proof is essential for the trek. Only Aadhar card/ Voter ID Card/ Driving License/Passport will be accepted.

Are we going to get network during the trek ?
No, mobile network is not available throughout the trek.

What are the risks involved in the trek ?
Bhrigu lake trek is a moderate level trek and there are very limited/no risk scenarios involved in the trek. A hundred percent guarantee to the safety of all participants will be provided by Kailashrath, only if participants are following all the instructions given by guides.

What are the safety measures taken ?
Guides who accompany the group members are certified from government mountaineering institutes and are expert in handling scenarios like medical issues or physical injuries. A first aid medical kit and rescue kit is always available with the guide.

Is Medical Certificate mandatory ?
Yes, medical certificate is mandatory to participate in any trek.

Do i need to carry any first aid along with me ?
The guides carry a first aid medical kit, oxygen cylinder and all high altitude mountain medicines required for the trek. If there is any personal medication, make sure that you are carrying medicines for it and the guide should be aware of it.

What kind of washroom facilities is available during the trek ?
During the trek toilet tents will be pitched separately for boys and girls.

What about drinking water during the trek and at campsites ?
Natural water sources like stream are used for drinking at campsites. It is very safe to drink the water.

Can i carry my DSLR ?
Yes, one can carry DSLR camera provided you take care of it against rain and shock.

Is trekking shoes compulsory?
Yes, trekking shoes are compulsory. A good trekking shoe should have an ankle support, good grip and water proof. In case if you are buying a new pair of shoes, make sure you are using it at least 15 days prior to the event.

Is liquor allowed in the trek?
No, liquor is strictly prohibited in the trek. Strict disciplinary actions will be taken if anyone is found with the possession of alcohol.

Is smoking allowed in the trek?
No, smoking is not allowed during the trek.

How should i prepare myself for the trek?
One should do cardio related exercise like running, swimming or cycling for at least 40 minutes for 15 days prior to the event.

Is it recommended for the first timers?
Yes, the trek is recommended for the first timers also.

What is the best time for the trek?
The best time for the trek is from June to Sep. From June to July one can find snow from Balu Ka Ghera to Shia Goru. During the monsoon the place becomes green and full of flowers.
