Registration and Orientation at Kasol

All the participants will have to report at Kasol in the morning. Take a hotel/homestay for overnight stay. Trek commences next day at 7 AM. Participants can use this day for acclimatisation in Kasol. All the participants will have to report at Moon Dance Café by 5 PM. Orientation regarding the trek will be given at Moon DAnce cafe which will cover information like rucksack packing, marching technique and medical awareness. Participants have to submit NOC and Medical certificate to the coordinator in evening.

Day 1

Trek to Grahan village ( 4-5 hours)

Trek will commence at 7AM. Reporting place will be Moon Dance Café.  All the participants will heve to be on time. The trek starts from the centre of Kasol and keeps to the true left of the Grahan nalah. The trail is easy and frequently used by locals.
The trail goes through lovely pine forests. The ascend is gentle and easy. One can effortlessly cover much distance in a couple of hours. After Grahan nalah the trail becomes rocky and climbing uphill, away from the right bank of the river. Buras (Rhododendrons) grows in the forest here. After a steep climb of about an hour, one reaches the village of Grahan, situated at the top. Overnight stay in tents at Grahan.

Day 2

Grahan to Ratta Pani ( 4-5 hours)

In the morning we climb towards the north of camping ground at Grahan. Villagers can be seen using this path for Ratta Pani. After walking for a while, one can see Min Thach, Nagaru, and Sar Top on the mountain to the right. The trail also becomes steeper and leads into the woods. The slope becomes steeper and the path is confusing in some places. After crossing the forest we arrive to Ratta Pani. Overnight in tents at Ratta Pani.
Day 3

Ratta Pani to Nagaru (4-6 hours)

Trek from Ratta Pani to Nagaru  is a short but difficult part. The slope falls steeply to the valley. After crossing steep slope for a couple of hours, one finally reaches Nagaru campsite. Facing north, one can see magnificent mountains across the Parvati valley. Night is very cold due to the chilling wind.  It is advisable to sleep early to avoid cold and the next day involves an early start.
Day 4

Nagaru to Biskeri Thach via Sar Pass ( 6-8 hours)

Next day we have to make an early start, as the climb is steep through the snow. Sar pass and the elevated peaks of the Tosh valley are now visible.
As one reaches the top, the view is exhilarating. After that the slide is the most fun and completely safe as long as some precautions are taken. The slide takes one as far as a kilometre to a gentler slope of the valley. Valley arrives after walking for an hour from Sar Pass. We will then continue the trek through some dense rhododendron bushes  towards Biskeri Thach campsite. Overnight stay in tents at Biskeri Thach.
Day 5

Biskeri Thach to Barshaini and drive back to Kasol. ( 4-5 hours)

Biskeri presents a sublime view of the pine forests, the majestic mountains and the lovely grasslands. From Biskeri we will descend towards Pulga village. The descend is easy and takes around 4-5 hours to reach Pulga. From Pulga we will continue to descend to cross Parvati river and then climb to reach village Barshaini. Jeep ride to Kasol base camp.

The trek was amazing with beautiful landscapes, waterfalls, river crossings, rappelling, snow sliding and many more, the pros are tents and sleeping bags which are brand new, washroom availability at every camp site, experienced guide, beautiful campsites and friendly staff, cons are moderate and insufficient food, lack of disposable plates and heavy sleeping liners. Overall the trek has offered good experiences, except for the reasons mentioned above.

Thanks for the suggestion sir and will implement for sure.

9th June 2017

12 of us had been to the Sar Pass Trek in the last week of May. Sar pass is a perfect place to trek and kailash rath is the perfect organisation to go on a trek with. Everything was very well organised and there was not even a single loop hole to point at. In the places where just trekking is difficult, you have the Kailash Rath team ready with tents pitched at beautiful, scenic locations and the team ready to welcome you with a hot cup of tea followed by fantastic food. Hot food is served 4 times a day. Varieties of food ranging from Pulao, Pakodas, Parantha, Roti, Dal, Daliya, Kheer and even Gulad Jammon is served at the camp sites. You might forget to have Bournvita at your home but Kailashrath doesn’t forget to serve you that at the night before sleeping.
Talking about Sar Pass, it is a very good trek offering you the walks by the side of Parvati rives, through thick forest, scenic landscapes, trekking on steep trails of mountains and finally snow all around. You get to spend the best 5 days of your life.
To be very brief, You get awesome food, tents are of high quality and the camp sites are at beautiful, scenic locations with basic amenities provided. The guides are very friendly. We had Rimpu Ji who turned out to be Rimpu sir for all of us and at every step he was motivating and helping all of us. Rimpu ji Literally held the hands of people who at tough points and made sure all of us completed the Trek. All of us would like to thank Rimpu ji specially and say we very were fortunate to have had him as our guide. Thanks to the KailashRath team for giving us a good friend called Rimpu from himachal. He is just awesome and we have a lot things to learn from him in life. It was very hard for all of us to leave him and head back to our cities. We would specially like to thank Kailash Rath team for all the arrangements. Just one word. Hats off. You are doing great work! Keep it going. Just cannot wait for an other trek with you. See you soon. Cheeers!!! Jai Kailash Rath and Jaii Rimpu Ji!!

12th June 2017

Thank You so much Shashank Ji for appreciating our efforts on our Sar Pass Trekking event. We at Kailash Rath always ensure that we work with our fellow trekkers with care, ending up as family!

17th June 2017

Sarpass was my 2nd trek with Kailashrath. 1st was Hampta pass and Chandratal lake. On the 1st trek end I decided to go for another trek with Kailashrath.
Sarpass was an amazing trek specially when u doing with amazing group like kailashrath. 42 (all) of us completed the trek. We provided with good helping, motivating guides (local guides at every camp sites) who ensures safety and morality of trekers. Amenities provided by Kailashrath was good. We miss Abhinav, Naresh, Vaibhav on trek.
About Sarpass, we enjoyed good nature in 5 days starting from deep forest, river side trek, snow fall, very cold weather, snow walk, very steep mountains and many more.
In one word, it was awesome experince again with kailasrath…. Thanks yaaroooo…. hoping to meet again and again….

12th July 2017

Thanks Pushkar/Kailash Rath for all your arrangements.

I enjoyed the Sar Pass Trek.
All Guides were great. Specially “HUKUM”, Gagan, Mohinder, PRABHAT (I am sure they must not be reading all these, but please pass it on to them).

I found it value for money.

Great Features:-

1. Rucksack provided was excellent.
2. All the staff is good.
3. Environment friendly
4. Loved those tents and sleeping bags, excellent quality.

Couple of opportunities:-
1. You have have Better dinning option – like making a big tent for dining (with seating arrangements)
2. You can have better toilet arrangement. I had seen tents with western facilities also.
3. Tents with some basic lights

Overall a very good experience.

Thanks
