Kailashrath-Best Trekking Community in Himalayas
Kailashrath Treks

With a deep heart we are letting go of the logo with which we began. On this ocassion I would like to explain why we changed the logo.

Never in our wildest dream we thought that an orange colour and few word of ancestral language can project us as an Religious company. Orange colour depicts playfulness and will tempt people to travel. Keeping it in mind we made our logo but it took 4 years to realise anything with orange in this country was considered belonging to a particular community or a political party.

Orange clubbed with Sanskrit was enough for some people to assume, we are a pilgrimage company.

Many persons without even reading the details, just by name and logo assumed that its for some religious tour. Those who enquired asked question which made us wonder

People associated with the trekking knew we are organizing treks, but the travellers were confusing us as a religious trip.

To my dismay, some were scared, am I allowed for this trip being a non Hindu?

People even got mistaken by our name thinking we arrange pilgrimage to Kailash Mansarovar.

Still lot of people who called us, understood the program came to us which kept me fighting for the logo. But as lot of enquiries were genrated which were of no use to us and a false image was being created. So to save the time and cost, we have taken the decision to change the logo.

So let me take you to an amazing journey of Kailashrath logo

So way back in 2014, we just wanted to open a company that was of the trekkers, by the trekkers and for the trekkers. So with the idea of opening this company we came to Pune, we met some people, we did our research on the world wide web and made a list of  things we got to do. Logo was the most important thing and as I researched the different logos of related adventure or trekking companies I got amazed !! My whole life , I saw just two logos .
One was of Indian Navy and the other was of Kendriya Vidyalaya.

     Indian Navy
Kendriya Vidyalaya

So these two logos played a huge role in shaping our logo, which is shown below. So as our vision is to organise Trek in Indian Himalayas and Himalaya literally means abode of snow so we had a snow mountain and our name written in front of it.

With the school logo on our belt, we ate bellyful of sevaiyan and biryani with Shoaib and played secret santa with Ebin. That was the time when we were not affected by caste or religion. Such healthy minds we were, just playing around.

Then one of our friend who was working with a digital marketing firm as a designer told us the weak points like, a good logo should have elements which represent what the company is offering, he also told us orange colour represented playfulness and tempt people to travel, so we added in the orange sun.

So as you have seen the two logos which I was inspired with had a Sanskrit quote in it. So we also finalised our quote

सन्तोषः परमो लाभः सत्सङ्गः परमा गतिः ।
विचारः परमं ज्ञानं शमो हि परमं सुखम् ॥ which meant,

Contentment is the highest achievement.
Good company is the best aspiration.
Curiosity is way to wisdom.
Peace is the ultimate pleasure.

This is the first iteration.

So once our logo was finalized we used it continuously for 2 years . In 2016 we again reworked our logo making the mountain more clearer, the font of Sanskrit phrases more firm and clear and we added the birds along the mountain “representing” the free will of a traveler. Never in my wildest dream I “had” thought “that” the logo would be a factor affecting our business.

The Final Logo

Keeping all these things in mind we got a designer on board who followed the modern norms and all the designer stuff.

I want to make it clear that we do no  form of discrimination based on race, gender, religion, national origin, physical or mental disability and age.

I would like to thank each and everyone who joined hands with us to become free on this journey of tranquility and freedom. So amigos show some LOVE. Hope I was able to make you understand our side of the story.
